Everything But Dance is a workshop weekend to train the next generation of Teachers, DJ’s and Organizers in the Boston Blues community!

We’ve brought together Boston’s best of the best in each of these disciplines to teach you a series of classes devoted to helping you learn how to do everything but dance. There will be representatives from every blues dance in Boston teaching you the in’s and out’s of organizing events, Boston-based DJ’s who have spun tunes at top national events teaching you their craft, and our very own NSS Blues Instructors teaching you the best techniques to spread your love of dancing through teaching. If you’re interested in becoming one of our Trainees for the weekend, you’ll need to fill out and submit the application on the Registration page. Because this weekend is by and for Bostonians, we’re going to be giving priority to locals, but out-of-towners are encouraged to apply anyway just in case! Due to the hands-on nature of the training, our schedule limits us to accepting:

- 8 Teacher Trainees (4 Leads, 4 Follows)
- 6 DJ Trainees
- 10 Organizer Trainees

Even if you’re not interested in getting more involved in the scene just yet, we can still use your help! As part of the training, we’re going to be hosting a series of Public Workshops and a Blues Clinic taught by our Teaching Trainees and a Saturday Night Dance for our DJ and Organizing Trainees to flex their newly-minted muscles.
